Frequently asked questions about nutrition consultation

Short answers to the questions people ask before registering. If yours is not here, the office phone line at +62 711 356 789 is open during working hours.

How to read this page

Questions arrive in the order most people meet them: signing up first, then what a session actually looks and feels like, who is on the other side of it, what to bring, and how payment and follow-up work. Each answer is short and stays within what we can say clearly. If your situation needs something this page cannot promise, the answer will point you to a person instead.

Registration and scheduling

The registration form takes a few minutes. You choose a consultation topic, a session format, and a preferred time. A nutritionist reviews your assessment and contacts you to confirm the slot. Sessions are booked in Indonesian time, and the office keeps some slots outside the usual working window of Monday to Friday, 09:00–18:00 for people whose day does not leave room earlier.

If you need to reschedule, contact the office rather than waiting for the session day. The nutritionist who confirmed your slot is usually the one who picks up the change request, and rescheduling early gives someone else your original time.

Two ways to talk

Session formats — chat or video

Both produce the same written plan afterward, and you can switch formats between sessions without losing your history. Chat consultation also covers short questions between scheduled sessions.

Chat

Suits people who prefer written advice they can reread

You type your situation, the nutritionist replies in the same thread, and the plan lands as text you can open again on a slow day. Short questions between scheduled sessions happen in the same chat, which is useful for the small decisions that come up the day after a market run.

Video

Suits people who want to be questioned directly

Video follows the same structure as chat: assessment, goal, current pattern, practical constraints. The difference is pace — the nutritionist can ask a follow-up in the moment, which often surfaces the real obstacle faster than a written exchange. You will not be asked to prepare slides or measurements beforehand.

Who you speak with

Nutritionist credentials and clinical boundaries

Consultations are handled by registered nutritionists with formal nutrition training and practice in Indonesian food contexts — the rice-and-sambal habits, the warung lunch, the family table where one pot feeds everyone differently.

If your situation calls for a clinical dietitian or a specialist practitioner, you will be told during intake and, where appropriate, referred. That is not a refusal — it is the shortest route to the right help, and the intake process is designed to spot it before you spend a session on the wrong kind of support.

Nutrition guidance answers what to eat in the week ahead. Medical questions — what a lab value means, whether a prescription should change — belong with the physician who ordered the test. When the two need to talk to each other, the referral note from intake is how that starts.

Before the first call

What to prepare — and what you can skip

Have roughly in mind

The last few days of eating — breakfast, lunch, dinner, the snacks you forgot about. Rough is fine. Nearly accurate is better than a tidy list you invented.

Bring if it exists

Your goal in one sentence, any health information you want considered, and an honest list of what always derails you. Lab results and food diaries are welcome if you already have them, but nothing is required to register.

Safe to leave at home

A perfect record, a calorie count, a shopping list written in advance. The session is where the plan gets written — you are not expected to arrive with one.

Inside a session

What a session covers

  1. Assessment

A first consultation works through your assessment, your goal, your current eating pattern, and the practical constraints in your week — the office hours, the commute, the relatives who cook for you.

  2. Written guidance

You leave with written guidance and a clear first set of changes. Few enough that you can hold them in your head for the first few days and still remember them at the market.

  3. An honest check

If the goal you arrived with is not the right starting point, the nutritionist will say so and explain why. That conversation is part of the session, not an obstacle to it.

Follow-up rhythm

No fixed schedule after the first session

Many people check in weekly while new habits settle, then move to monthly reviews. Follow-up sessions adjust the plan based on what actually happened, including the difficult weeks — the ones where nothing went as written. Bring those too; the point of a follow-up is the real record, not the tidy one.

Costs and payment

Confirmed after your registration is reviewed

Session formats and fees are confirmed when your registration is reviewed. Payment is arranged through the methods the office confirms with you directly, such as bank transfer or in-person payment for local clients. Card payment is not handled on this website, and nothing will ever be charged without a confirmation message from the office first.

Scope of care

Medical questions and nutrition guidance

This is nutrition guidance and meal planning, not medical treatment or diagnosis. Read the boundary plainly before you register, so the first session can be about food rather than about expectations the format cannot meet.

Can a nutritionist here diagnose or treat a medical condition?

No. The consultation is nutrition guidance and meal planning. A nutritionist can help you organise what you eat around what a physician has already advised; a nutritionist will not diagnose, prescribe, or replace that physician's care.

My situation involves a clinical condition. Will you still take the registration?

Concerns such as thyroid-related dietary needs, PCOS nutrition, or cholesterol management usually belong with a dietitian working alongside your physician, and the intake process will point you there if needed. If part of your situation is everyday nutrition and part belongs with a clinician, the nutritionist will say which part is which during intake.

Do I need lab results or a food diary to register?

No. No lab results or food diary are required to register. If you already have measurements or notes from your physician, bring them — they make the first session more precise — but their absence changes nothing about whether you can start.

What language do consultations run in?

The intake happens in the language you register in, and the nutritionists work with families and adults across Indonesia. Tell the office your preferred language when you register so the slot is matched to a nutritionist who works in it.

Still not answered? Where can I ask?

Call the office on +62 711 356 789 during working hours, Monday to Friday, 09:00–18:00, or write to [email protected]. The office can also be reached in person at Jl. Teuku Umar No. 34, Palembang, Sumatera Selatan, 30134, Indonesia. If the question is about booking, the contact and registration page is the fastest route.

Next step

Ready when your questions are answered

Registration opens the intake: pick a consultation topic, choose chat or video, and leave a preferred time. A nutritionist reviews the assessment and confirms your slot by phone or email. If you would rather talk to a person first, the office line is open during working hours.
